How a prediction is locked
- At 2:00 PM ET on the report day for an after-close report (the trading day before for a before-open report), the engine locks one Immediate Outlook and one Extended Outlook for the stock, together with the price at that moment.
- The engine does not change a locked prediction. Results are graded only against it.
- If you have push alerts on for a stock, the prediction and its proof code reach your phone when it is locked.
Check a proof code yourself
The proof code is the first 10 characters of the SHA-256 fingerprint of the text
