Important Disclosures
Last updated: TODO: date
1. General information, not personalized advice
Trade Navigator publishes general market information, including trade setups, price levels, and earnings outlooks, to all users on the same basis. It is not tailored to any person’s financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance. Labels such as “Enter Now” or “Do Not Chase” describe whether a setup meets our model’s criteria and are not instructions to trade. Use of Trade Navigator does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or client relationship, and we cannot answer questions about whether a trade is suitable for you. TODO: Registration status statement, only as your attorney advises.
2. Risk of loss
Trading, particularly short-term trading, is risky. You can lose some or all of the money you invest, and more than you invest if you use leverage or margin. Trade only with money you can afford to lose.
3. Stops, targets, and reward-to-risk
Stop levels are not guaranteed exits. Under our rules, a trade is treated as stopped out only after three consecutive completed 15-minute candles close at or below the stop, so an actual loss could exceed the displayed risk, especially in fast or gapping markets. Profit targets and “Potential Target” levels are projections, not guarantees. Many setups show a reward-to-risk ratio below 1:1, meaning the displayed potential loss is larger than the potential gain.
4. How we count results
“Winner” means a trade hit its profit target or locked in gains. “Invalidated” means a trade closed below entry after a stop-out or at the end of its trade window, that is, a losing trade. Some trades are not counted, as described in the Glossary (for example, a second trade on the same stock on the same day). Counts do not reflect commissions, fees, spreads, slippage, taxes, or position sizing, and are not returns. TODO: State whether results are live, hypothetical, or backtested.
5. Earnings outlooks
Predictions are published by 2:00 p.m. ET on the last trading day before the report and are not changed afterward. An Immediate Outlook is marked Correct if, in the first session after the report (including pre-market and after-hours), price trades beyond the prior regular-session candle’s high or low in the predicted direction, or closes beyond its close. An Extended Outlook is tracked for up to 10 regular sessions and marked Correct the first time its condition is met. The two outlooks can point in opposite directions, and both can be counted as Correct. These are our scoring rules and do not measure whether following a prediction would have been profitable. An earnings beat or miss does not predict how the stock will react.
6. Models and automation
Signals are generated by TODO: automated quantitative / machine-learning models. Models can be wrong, can fail when conditions differ from the data they were built on, and may not account for news, trading halts, or corporate actions. Do not rely on any single signal.
7. Data
Prices and other data come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. They are shown as of the timestamp displayed. Confirm prices with your broker before trading.
8. Forex and crypto
These markets can be highly volatile and may carry different protections and risks than securities.
9. Compensation and conflicts
TODO: Trade Navigator is currently free. We plan to offer paid subscriptions, and subscription fees will be our compensation. TODO: We do / do not receive payment from any issuer, broker, or third party for featuring a security. TODO: Describe whether team members may own or trade securities we cover, and your policy on trading around publication.
10. Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your trading decisions. Trade Navigator is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to our Terms of Service, we are not liable for losses arising from use of or reliance on the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Consult a licensed financial professional and tax advisor.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these disclosures, and the date above shows the latest version. Contact: TODO: email.
